I bought this TV for use in my tent in Afghanistan. The picture and DVD operation are good, but the sound is so bad you can hardly hear it when the volume is up all the way. I email Coby customer support and explained the problem and told them I had already tried multiple DVDs to same end. I got an email from them the next day saying, "Movies are recorded at lower volumes." That was it! No suggestions, no settings, nothing! SO I called them and was told on the phone, "Well it must be broke, send it back."
Order if you like, but I consider this buy a waste of money.

I have never left a review before, but am so outraged by my experience with Coby that I feel I should warn others. When using the built in dvd player on this television, you can barely hear anything, even with the sound turned all the way up. I have gone through the manual and website to try to troubleshoot this problem, but have come to the conclusion that it is either defective or just extremely poor quality. I have tried repeatedly to contact Coby, but haven't received a response to my emails or phone calls. Based on their complete lack of customer service, I will never purchase anything from them again!
